Syrah Sangiovese Rosè Fine Wine Sysa - Terradonnà - Case Of Wine 6 x 0,75 L
A PERFECT AREA FOR WINE PRODUCTION
The company is located at the foot of the Suvereto hills and a few kilometres from the coast, in particular from the wonderful Elba Island. A perfect area for wine production thanks to a soil particularly rich in minerals and a microclimate that thanks to the recirculation of air from the sea maintains a mild climate throughout the year.
A LAND DONATED
My company Terradonnà (land donated from woman to woman) takes this name because I like to remember how much dedication my mom put into the cultivation of her land and the gift she gave me by entrusting it to me, this name is a thank you to my family who handed me down the passion for this job. A great effort in the restructuring of the company to obtain high-quality products, certain of the great qualities of this territory, which, due to the particular characteristics of the mineral-rich subsoil, offers wines that are pleasant when young and surprising in long ageing.
ABOUT THE WINE
Sysa is our unique rosé wine.
For years, we have chosen Syrah and Sangiovese grapes as a base for this wine. Our main effort is to bring into the cellar red grapes that have a ripe flavor but not an excessive gradation; the difficulties multiply when collecting liquid a few hours after the grapes have been destemmed and placed in the vat. It is very important for the future evaluation of the product.
The floral and fruity flavors and a pleasant freshness make our rosé easy to pair with white meats and seafood, great for aperitifs and for combinations with fruit desserts.
The manual harvest takes place in early September, the must is put to settle for 48 hours, fermented in stainless steel vats where it rests in fine lees for about a month. Matured 6 months in steel tanks and aged in bottles for 3 months.
Purple in color, it is expressed at the first sip with a large fruit, blackberry and blueberry, floral hints of violet, gradually showing a delicate spiciness of green pepper. An important structure that hides behind the typical scents of the vines from which it comes, but which explodes gracefully after a few sips and conquers the palate. Good persistence with silky tannins, spicy aftertaste.
