Natural Biodynamic Wine Without Added Sulphites
While searching for a substitute for the barrique we decided to use amphoras. We came up with the idea of reproducing an archeo-wine as close as possible to wine of the ancients has brought our attention to an ancient tradition such as that of winemaking or conservation wine in terracotta containers, such as amphora.
Amphora winemaking was a tradition that for most European wine regions was still lost for centuries if not millennia.
First of all, it is attributed to the characteristic of keeping the wines younger in colour and aroma, while maintaining a correct evolution, especially in terms of taste.
For the production of the Archeo-Vino Tempesta, it is reserved first of all completely interrupted, both for the vinification and for the conservation of the wine. One of the most interesting aspects for the refinement of wine is certainly the thermal inertia of the clayey materials and their insulating capacity, these properties of the first things contribute to the daring structure to young wines that immediately acquire important textures and brought to ageing.
The bottles of this wine are numbered and this product also enjoys the patronage of the School of Archaeological Heritage of Matera (University of Basilicata).
The Acroneo Tempesta wine vinified and aged in amphora for six months has a ruby red colour with garnet reflections. The aromas are reminiscent of cherries and red-berried fruits, accompanied by spicy hints of liquorice root.
The taste is characterized by the body and the decisive and full of character trait that distinguishes this wine with ancient flavours.
