Be wary of imitations and buy Italian products, locally produced, checked and traceable.
Why should I buy pollen?
Among the many products that bees provide us, this is certainly one of the most complete and energizing. The bees extract it from the flowers and form small balls with it.
They then store it in their combs, in small cells specially dedicated to this purpose. it is also fortified with the nectar with which they make honey, which increases its nutritional properties and health benefits.
Bee pollen is a natural source of well-being. Pollen contains, in a very complete way, the elements of a good diet and all this naturally.
Its richness makes this natural product a great food supplement and can be considered a superfood, which together with a balanced diet helps our well-being. Contains protein (almost all essential amino acids), and is a great source of vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, and lipids (including omega 3 and omega 6)
How do I eat dried pollen?
The most suitable time to consume pollen is when fasting, which can be taken, for example, before breakfast or between meals.
Being our chestnut pollen is of the highest quality there are no contraindications and it can also be taken 10 grams per day.
It can be eaten alone, accompanied by a hot drink or a teaspoon of honey.
Dry pollen can be marketed in pearls, tablets or, more simply, as we prepare it in its natural state. We just pack it in jars in the form of many small "balls", in the same way, that bees and bees did it. The colours are varied from ivory white to grey, yellow, greenish, almost black.
The consumption of pollen can have laxative effects and, thanks to its mild, but not irritating, styling effect on the lazy intestine, it can help to combat constipation.
This product is suitable for allergy sufferers, to whom it could cause severe ailments even if ingested and/or inhaled.
Polline d'Oro - Company description:
Artisan beekeeper Simone Pozzi is the owner of "Polline d’Oro", a small company in the municipality of Lerma, in Alessandria province (piedmont, Italy.
Simone is a former monk who, during his stay in several monasteries, has practised hours of work in the care of their crops, thus inheriting from his confreres the passion and respect for nature.
He has been producing honey and chestnut pollen for over 10 years. Its apiaries are located on the Piedmontese Apennines, on the border with Liguria, in an uncontaminated expanse, far from factories, conventional crops and urbanized areas, thus meeting the well-being of its bees that can feed on the nectar of a high variety of plants. Just the perfect location to make artisanal honey.
We are located exactly in the municipality of Lerma, in the province of Alessandria, Piedmont.
The production of honey takes place in full respect of its bees, their rhythms and the coincidence between the flowering of the plants (and therefore the availability of pollen) and the climatic conditions. This means that his is not a standard production like industrial production, but is the result of the occurrence and coincidence of these conditions. Such as difficult-to-produce cherry honey, as temperatures are very low at the moment of cherry blossom and this causes difficulty for the bees to get out of the hive. This makes its product rare and precious.
In January 2021, the conversion into organic production certified by the ICEA control body will be made official.
