Amphora Wine Arkon Acroneo 0,75L
Natural wine from autochtonous Gaglioppo
The production of the archaeo-wine Acroneo is the result of an accurate study of literary, iconographic and archaeological sources. Every aspect is treated in detail, to reconstruct the ancient natural winemaking process, it is experimental archaeology.
The project starts from a paleobotanical study of the Calabrian vines, which wants to recover the native vines and closer to those transplanted by the Greeks in the eighth century. B.C. in today's Calabria.
The design of the previous ones is used, it is not found in the trade, because the result of my research, which merges the characteristics of the past, it is okay to create a shape that gives the best result, during the fermentation and refinement phases of the natural wine. First of all, the grapes were added by our trusted artisans and manually, without the addition of enamels or other modern materials, and they are buried.
Even the closure of the same respects the ancient tradition of natural materials such as wood and stones are used. From the study of the sources, the work tools, such as the "navazze", were manually recreated (modern steel or plastic tools are not used, to give the buyer a product as close as possible to the wine of antiquity The natural winery enjoys the patronage of the School of Archaeological Heritage of Matera (University of Basilicata).
